That's definitely the way it's geared up Phil.

They might be on to something.

I'm thinking of doing weird reductions on trees so noone can work on them afterwards apart from me.

I do those already, although no one can work on mine not even me :blushing:

A Range Rover Sport is body off job to change the exhaust manifold gasket when they fail as the 'folds warp if the settings are tampered with to make it "sporty".

The aircon pump fell off ours, the front of the car and tax etc had to come off to do that!

Mate has a disco 3, keep telling him to get rid of it as I'm always under the blooming thing. They are rubbish, just worth the scrap value.

So far I've done his brakes and yes I've had to do the parking brake aswell. Not sure why landy moved from driveshaft to rear brakes. Lights have been his issue with them keep blowing. Changed the turbo. And he couldn't get it in reverse, this was a broken circlip on the reverse ingage that had broken and it was a 10p fix but he got quoted a fortune from landy dealer.

I hate them and would never have one on my drive.

My neighbours are these "too much bling" people - never seem to go out to work, use the black Disco 3 with black windows for making important phone calls etc. I'm looking forward to the Disco giving them trouble :)

Really makes me laugh when those without Disco's say how rubbish they are, if they are so poor why are they the biggest selling 4x4 on the market????? and why do so many owners replace them with another??????

Because the rest are no better in a lot of cases worse and parts alot more expensive. The Td5 has a dreadful rep but we ended up with one and it has been very good. You hear alot more about vehicle faults as its all over the net. The more popular the vehicle the more complaints you are likely to get. I had a courtesy car in 2004 which was a D3 and thought it was excellent to drive. They cant be that bad as 2004 models with 100k on the clock are still fetching 10k.
