There nice cars for sure but they were voted the most unreliable car on the road i think a while back. my brother has a D3 and loves it but landrover has it more than he does! a company we contract to has had discos for years got his D3 18 months ago new and is on its second engine and has had loads of electrical faults!!!!

I had a 300 TDI new on a P plate, did 80k in it with out a single fault, LR have lost there way in the reliability stakes IMO.

Really makes me laugh when those without Disco's say how rubbish they are, if they are so poor why are they the biggest selling 4x4 on the market????? and why do so many owners replace them with another??????

Ahem I have a disco 1 1990 200tdi goes like stink, had a new head before I got it, I've had to put a new water pump on it but that's all I've had to do to it.

I've driven the veriouse disco models and I have to say i like mine.

The recent disco have got too much electronic in them and everything is run by the car not the driver.

After working on the disco 3 I don't like it as there is always a new fault that you end up chasing them down.

By the way if anyone has got one and it's getting near 3 yrs old you will need to change the parking brakes soon as they can when they wear out come on by themselves and lock on. Not good when going up the motorway.
