I think I just finally got it (only taken 42 years )

 

a bit cliche I know,

 

but as the meaning of the day was intended, it was the 'presence' of loved ones around the house today & not the 'presents' that gave most joy in our family home this Christmas.

A weeks holiday in the Forest of Dean in a luxury forest cabin with my family around me relaxing in tranquil surroundings and lots of walking to take in what the countryside had to offer. Stunning stuff and better than any material goods.

I got a magic pad for my mac...its really cool, but the best present of the day was getting the absolute crap beaten out of me by my 4 year old daughter and her new nerf sword.....not bad going considering she was in a&e 24 hours earlier with a broken collar bone....hard as nails that girl
