Like 18 stoner said once u have had a stub or peg in the ribs u won't do it again

I'v had some bad jobs where I'v looked back at them and would have done it different

We all have done it

the main thing is u got the job done with out damaging anything or hurting anyone and made a bit of money these 3 things are most important to any job IMO

Is it bad practice to leave stubs? leave them so my main line has something to choke on if anything should happen.

 

Bad idea imo. One you could get a nasty poke, two don't rely on a stub to hold a doubled line on a stem. I heard about a guy who did that to get down, the rope rolled off the stub and down he came. Broken back, game over.

 

On a stem you should be choked on a single line, so you can get down should anything happen:thumbup1:

I must admit I am also guilty of leaving an odd nogger periodically down a stem sometimes, especially if its a big straight stem and youre using a big saw, I use them to take the weight off my legs and have a break if needed. Although I havent taken a fall and taken one in the Gooch yet so I may change my ways someday! ha ha
