look at all the people getting benifits thats a form of subsidies everyones a millionaire in that case ! put them back into the 1940s and 50s see who survives then !

In my opinion, if any business needs/depends an annual subsidy to survive, they are doing something wrong.

There are plenty of people that didnt need a helping hand and have built huge businesses, maybe accept you just are not as good at doing things as others.

Fair comment Geoff, that was a bit below the belt.

 

My point is that he rather rudely questioned my competence. I am questioning this. I can probably field photographic evidence that I am better at doing things rather than just buying things.

 

I think that we (Mr Blair and I) maybe have a different moral compass, or different values.

 

I am deeply offended that my own values have been judged in this way. I am just using the same dirty techniques:001_smile:

Or it could maybe saying that some people are better hands on working than others and some people are better on the paper work/business side of things. But hey ho I could be wrong

it don't matter how you started

If your dad worked hard and built a thriving business then why should you feel or be made to feel bad because you benefited from that.

I love the fact that I made my own way but also don't feel animosity towards others who had a helping hand. That's just the way it is.

Some on here would be proud to pass their business onto their kids- don't make them feel guilty for this.
