Daughter came over the other day and talked me into helping her make a bench.Made from Elm,Hemlock and frame is made from some Kerroin reclaimed from a wooden bridge.I don't use foreign timbers normally but as its for the daughter and cost nowt i think thats ok.Managed to get it finished and first coat of exterior uv resist osmo on

2 bits of lapis lazuli to cover screw holes in the arms

That's nice and the colours compliment each other which is almost impossible to do!

Hi

The wood called keroin is very weather resistant,we had some staging covered with it and it was ouside for 20 years without any probs

As for the rest of it 2 coats of external Osmo might work so long as the daughter recoats it every year or two
