Asking people is pretty pointless because you'll get a 101 different prices.

Everyones predicament is different.

The best way to find out is to judge it yourself, by your own means what you feel your worth. You'll know if you get the price right.. Pricing work correctly is achived from your own experiences not from what someone else tell you.

I'd rather price by the job than by the day, I have a day rate in my head as a target to aim for but I don't tell the client. My best day for three men plus chipper was £1900... Wish that happened more often.

Don't worry it was'nt a little old lady, it was a roads job clearing to make way for a new road. We were supposed to have 4 men for 2 days but one did'nt show and the roads guys were right behind us with 4 excavators revving their engines. In the end we knocked it out in a day just to get out of there, it was a hard day, we earned every penny. I do wish it would happen more often though.

Depends on loads of different factors mainly your overheads do you rent a yard is the chipper hired or bought and what wages do you pay.

 

Around here about £450

guys lets be a little bit moor pragmatic

 

what is there wage what is your insurance on cost devided by about 220 days worked same with fleet deprciation, tax on cost at about 3%, fuel cost plant and machinery planned running costs, actual runing cost, training and update costs, etc, pension con trib if you do as an employer, o the yard of cource, the waste carriers reg fee,

 

bit like university challange trying to remember all this lot,

 

well you get the idear,

 

take this mean cost devide by actual days worked c.210-215 add profit margine your choise then thatas your answer,

 

personally i would whant £250 a bloke, but ive found its easier to get that in a 2 man gang and with 3 you have to fight for it a little moor, but alas i know people charging out a lot less.

 

but at the end of the day as said befor you get what you can and some jobs you will get moor than others.

You don't wana quote too high as you'll scare them off, getting the contract is better than not. A least you and your crew will be working in these hard times.

£500- £600 sounds fair. don't forgett that in that line of work they just want you to get the work done, and dont seem to be too bothered on quallity.:bored:

£450 a day round here. Depends how far to travel though.
