Why would that be a problem???

If you see so much value in the tree, surly you'd be happy to have more???

Incidentally the listing state that the standing part of the tree must retained.

Thats the problem I dont see a lot of value in the tree. How many m3 would you actually get out the branches certainly a lot less than the 10 m3 I would need even to breakeven.

The problem firewood folk are talking about the cost of roundwood, look at the amount of threads on here about roundwood cost exctra and most if not all are in the firewood forum, so when some one come on to arbtalk what they see is that people are buying in roundwood to process for fire wood, they probally dont know the differance between arb waste type timber and low quality foresrty cord, and they see this site as populated mostly by arborist so there for there is no differance between roundwood and arb type waste so if you got a question about cord price or for sale sell dont post in in the firewood forum but in the forestry one as it a forest product this would help everyone in the long run and help the go public under stand the differance between the sectors.

The trouble is that is that sells for any kind of money (which i doubt). Then Joe public will see it and think that the tree in ther back garden is worth alot of money and want to charge people to take it down.

This bloke is trying it on but what put the idea in his head?
