what VT and rope please???

Guys,

 

I would love to find someone in the UK to stock Armor Prus. I've been working through getting CE approved, although it meets all the standards you still need to jump through the hurdles to get this done (Time and money).

I have just returned from a show in Europe and the local lads tell me that it is not a legal requirment to be CE registered to sell in the UK.

 

I have looked at the other hitch cords available and none quote CE approved unless they are sewn, if this is the case they then bear a CE mark.

 

Please ask you local supply to get AP in for you, we would be happy to send it!!

just thought i'd post a couple of pics of my armour-prus that ive just stopped using after 5 or so months use,if any ones interested!,should have some more next week with spliced eyes

josh i would go for a 13mm rope xtc rope scorch or blaze on some 8mm roblon i swear by it!

 

whats the characteristics of those ropes matt? should be ordering them this week

I find the scorch quite stiff but still supple enough ,with little stretch...it seems to have slick coating that last a long while and makes self tending very easy.

The roblon seems to be the best with my vt set up i can leave it on there and not tune it often and it doesnt glaze to bad,i find OP a bit temprimentle some times it work well other wise it needs constant tuning and then next time wont work well at all plus as stated it needs time to wear in...ive found lyros nice but glazes easily but better than the ocean polyester.

I dont really get on with 11mm ropes i found tachyon very stretchy im climbing on fly at the momment with lyros and thats pretty simular...i need to put that scorch back in the rope bag!

cheers matt, think im going to go for the scorch, based on what your experiences are, sounds simmilar to what i like, feels nice, and the fact i dont like the look of arbormaster! (looks ARE everything!)

and just get half dozen diffrent hitch cordage, and see what i like best

You will only need one hitch cord, problem is getting hold of it sorry

the armour prus is brilliant on arbormaster

i nearly cried when my armour prus was ruined by a giant fir takedown

Ice tail is made from the same stuff, just without the core. Lasts pretty well.

I use Edelrid timber blue rope with 8mm roblon cord. Works great for me.

 

Intrigued by all this armor prus talk though. Might have to get my matey in NZ to send a load over.
