Very good post, I'd have a few dozen on hire for some work detail. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like it if they didn't get the hang of a hard days work. But they'd be a damn sight keener not to end up getting caught again and might actually learn something they can use to further their lives!

Hard is not defined by the number of people you kill, injure or have maimed. But the number of people you help in the shadow of adversity with respect and control and without prejudice.

Been working in an area of Hudderfield plagued by boy gangs, riding about on their little bmx bikes wearing shoulder satchels or bandanas for whichever "gang" they belong to. I,d say average age of around 15.

I haven,t led a sheltered life myself but one thing I do have is a deep respect for those that deserve it.

This man below and all who fought with him were "hard"

All those that are currently fighting in wars they don't fully understand are "hard"

The little shites that roam the streets at night in large groups carrying weapons and intimidating people are "cowards"

I think you've got a case of ''in my day'' syndrome Dean, today's kids aren't all bad and its not there fault there is over 1 million of them without jobs and half of them have no father at home [thanks to the PC brigade] as the saying goes the devil makes work for idle hands , i'm convinced today's generation are no better or worse than in Jacks day, and if chit came to shove they'd be as brave and hard, have faith brother

There have probably been gangs of shitbags in every generation, but you do notice it more with age.

What's the deal with these low slung but skintight purple trousers? I mean, we all used to wear purple sta-press, but not with the top of our arses hanging out.

It has gone too far in a lot of places though, look at that poor little lassie shot and paralysed in that shop.

What about the prat in the us that shot those two English students just for the thrill, despite them begging him not to kill them, he was 16
