Does anyone know what a hilux 2.4td can do mileage wise? I'm looking at one which has done over 160k miles. I know these will go on forever just dont know at what point they will die.

I think on the new ones the electronic management management system automatically blows them up at exactly 100k.

Sounds like you have just about run it in....My last hilux I bought with over 300k on the clock and the engine was as sweet as a nut..........the rest of it was a bit rough and i bent it, but the engine was still fine.

I look after a few 07 plate D4D hilux,160k on the clock, there have been problems though,no where near as good as the "real" Toyota's. I'd be more concerned about the body work (ie. rust) than the miles on the clock.
