so tryed it out for first time today, after being used to new timberwolfs it was bit of a change. i felt it had no guts in the roller to pull branches through.

when its just wood it chips great, soon as theres branches and foliage, you almost hve to push it through the rollers youself. thats the only fault i can find with it so far, found out its dead easy to get the chute off 1 min job that. i took a video of chipping a couple of lengths of about 5inch wood and it eats it.

Good roller speed, I don't know my Vermeers from my elbow, so to speak, but if a TW had the symptoms you describe I would say the roller edges are too dull and/or the springs either side of the roller slide box are worn out.

 

Seems to have plenty of grunt.

 

 

it has a lever to change the roller speed that is on top speed, i did think about the springs and the roller blades but when it wont pull stuff through the rollers stop, it doesnt keep trying to pull it like a timberwolf does its weird one, maybe there all like that.
