This was taken a couple years back, before Maisy was born, and me and Alex had a life....lol....almost to the summit of Kinder scout on a very foggy day, navigation had to be top notch.....this red grouse had walked straight past us several times darting in and out of the heather, that was until i nearly trip over him...Can you see him???:biggrin:

that aint no harris hawk rob, looks like a young Ferruginous Hawk to me????anyone else.

 

Good shout but it doesnt look like a Ferruginous to me . It has that classic gos yellow stare and the even more classic trashed tail :001_smile:

Ferrougs are rough legged aswell and have tiny feet which is the bit we cant see !
