200T or 201T?

Was going to revive an old post on this but now it's nearly a year has anyone changed there minds and would you go for the 201, or is it now a case of you have to ad the 200 is gone?

Own a 200t and have done for many years. My local shop still has a handful of them as well but after much thought went for a 201t. Dont regret the decision at all especially as Ive read a thread from an american site on how to mod the muffler to get more power. The link to the site is on here somewhere.

@ Paul knight, please show me the link...... so need that mod and then it will be good i say. and not bog down all the time on big stuff.

From what I understand its a carby mod thats needed to fix this saws problems, particularly the bogging at low revs.

I've never experienced any of the problems mentioned here with my 201 bar the slow pick up until the chain guides break in, which I don't consider a problem as such.

I've used my old 200 this week and it's rubbish in comparison. It's heavy, bogs down in big wood, and drinks fuel at an astonishing rate I reckon it uses two tanks to every 1 if I were using the 201.

Waiting to try the Husqvarna T540 . All other Husky climbing saws have been pants I know but somehow I think this will be different My new Husky 560 ground saw is a complete loony ! If the T540 is any thing like as good I want one !

192t owns, I love mine with a small 12in pole pruner bar!

 

200 for dismantles, 201 not up to par with 200 imo, doesn't seem to have the grunt!

Yes thats how it appears to me too, which is very encouraging as people tend to resist change, so that suggests the 201 has the edge over the 200 which is very good news indeed:thumbup:
