A mate of mine had a trailer made from ally and the welds were forever cracking I hope for your sake it doesnt flex to much or you may have the same problem

 

Normally ally is very good especially with a good weld, but, the more the metal is heated (ie, re-welding) the ally does go brittle, so the more its done the worse it gets. There is a scientific explanaton behind it but i shant bore you with that ( if i knew it :blushing: )

The box is the same size as the old box which it coped with well when loaded up, only this box is probably half the weight of the old box.

 

I,m thinking about painting it Dave, but can't decide what colour. I think all white will be a little bland.
