very high winds since last night with rain.one of the worst winds ive ever seen over here(preston lancs)supposed to be 7 degrees but feels like -7.im sure some of you guys will get phone calls this morning around lancashire.im off for 2 weeks;) good luck to whoevers out there today.keep safe n dnt forget to post any storm damaged pics:)

Wet and very wild in the North Pennines

Woke up middle of night to thunder and lightening

Howling gale and honking it down

It was the flashes that woke me up ......didn't believe it myself

At the stroke of midnight, the wind blew and the rain did start. Still raining but the wind is now down to taking the rain sideways.

50mph with gusts up to 80mph threatened here, it's been windy and raining all night.

Overcast and dull, still windy but not that strong, very mild.
