Spent the afternoon at the beach behind the school with my brother, his family, my kids and one of my daughter's friends. 

 

It was very nice indeed. Summer's last hurrah. 

 

27c air, 21c water. Much swimming and diving was done by all.

Nights are drawing in. First day of autumn here leaves coming down and a coolness in the air. Can't wait for winter. Last week was hottest it has been all year.

That old chestnut winds me up. Every doughnut says it, almost as if thou shalt or be shot. Same 💩 different year. Is it not beyond the wit of man to think of something different for a change? Even "evenings are getting darker" would be original and refreshing by comparison.

I know. I mean what does it even really mean. But by golly. The Chestnuts will be coming down soon and we can go on about roasting chestnuts on an open fire. 🥵
