they are charging u for incoming calls??????

Yup it's business. In reality though its not a big expense compared to the potential jobs it directs. I don't have an office with a beautiful assistant to take my calls so my office is everywhere :) .

A lot of my clients comment that they can't get hold of anyone with other business's or nobody calls them back so when they actually speak to someone they usually go with me without calling about. People love good customer service :)

DBS are good for me. Local number looks more professional than a mobile, like it or not. Also WRT firewood, if you don't sell it there and then they'll ring someone else who will.

I very rarely answer either of my phones and my mobile has been on silent for about 7 years now.

I concentrate on my clients job not answering a phone when I should be working .

I have two numbers with Tamar, both forwarded to my mobile. Also have a landline diverted to it. You do get annoyed with sales calls however because you pay for the cost of the divert! So every call you get costs at least 6p.

Diverting calls from a BT landline is an expensive game, you get billed on your BT bill the cost of the call to the mobile.

Personally I think there is still a stigma attached to using a mobile number.

I switched about six months ago to this with vodafone costs me £55 + vat a month I have 7 geographical numbers linked to the one mobile number and each number has a prefix so I know what number has been called, that also includes unlimited minutes to most numbers and texts, all diverted calls are free, it roughly going to save me about £500 a year
