€25 today for five foot of Nordmann, and that included a 10% tip.

 

Guy even knew exactly where they had been grown, which I'm guessing is more than they would know down the local DIY shed...

 

Mind you, he couldn't get his Dolmar to start to trim the base off it!

I had this idea of having say 100 trees of different sizes on the go at once, then renting them out including delivery and collection, once a tree gets too big to be realisticly rented out it gets planted untill its worth chipping for biomass, it would be a rotation obviously, and its 'green'.

we had thought about doing it ourselves, charging enough in one sale/hire/rent whichever you wnt to call it to cover the cost of the tree if it was sold as a cut tree, so then if its brought back knackered youve not wasted money, but then if it comes back nice you sell it again next year for th same money, it worked out you could potentially sell the same tree 5 times and still have the tree!
