Listening to people that say.....

they used to be a tree surgeon, they used to climb trees as a kid and could do the job if they had the gear, they have done the hard bit but the ladders wouldn't go any higher, they were going to do it themselves but thought its best left to a professional blah blah blag blag bollocks.

 

That and dragging brash and timber through a tiny little gap people like to call their garden.

Staying positive and being able to motivate your team when both you and them know that the job that your boss has sent you on is clearly undermanned and the final touches needed to finish the job and achieve the customers expectation is that part of the day where you are grafting past home time knowing that you wont have any extra in your wage packet because "we dont pay overtime!"

Railway work, slopes, brambles, shutdowns etc alongside whatever drunk or junkie they dragged out of the pub to make the numbers up.

Palm especially a Phoenix palm , Crap to cut, full of possum crap, spike that go through trousers boots and hurt like hell for days afterwards, horrible to climb, lots of clearing up. Give me an ivy covered conifer any day of the week over one of these.

 

Id rather to a week of ivy than half a day in a fn Phoenix rat hotel. That crap eats chainsaws!
