Rope Wrench feedback

With this....6mm Ocean Vectran Loop with stainless steel DMM thimble

Like this.....

The Ovi O is girth hitched between the wrench and the top ultra o krab on the HC pulley. I find its a good length as a tether as its short ,compact and pretty hard to get snagged or wrapped around the top of the wrench. Thanks to Cary for this one. Hope that helps.. :001_smile:

welcome man ;) great rig, works better than any I have tried and it keeps the middle hole on the HC freed up :)

Trying some Globe out.:001_smile:

Very much a RW novice but I reckon that tether might be a bit long, at least for me. I allowed the wrench to drop down below my waist on a removal the other day (I was tied in with a lanyard as well) and found that even with my shorter tether it got wrapped over the top of the wrench real easy. Not a pretty sight.

I have my tether set the same with a Thimble but I girth hitch the tether to the top hole of my HC pulley. This reduces the amount of components and reduces the amount of 'flopping and twisting' that can happen.

It basically keeps it all a bit straighter.

Yeah that's how I used to have it.

I've been experimenting with tether length, the original tether was fine but a little short, I was finding that my glove tips kept getting caught between the hitch and RW, annoying and the short length didn't suit my gibbon like, long arm style.
