Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

I've got the Zk2 bud. They're great aren't they! Had a great little play in the woods today, made a foot strap for my hand ascender and with a bit of practice it felt like I was shooting up the tree. I just find sorting my tip out to be a bit long winded! Any advice?

For a retrievable canopy tip, I've taken to tying a running yosemite bowline through a ring to choke it. Then tie the tail end of my rope to the ring as a retrieval line. I usually aim to finish whatever I'm doing at my tip, so that the retrieval is only there for my final descent.

You could install it pre setup from the ground, either with a throwline or the tail end/another rope as the retrieval line.

The zk2 does seem good but I'm sure the zk1 is fine too. See if you can get Adam on here to make you a tether, his look spot on!

Thanks mate, the only problem with the zk1 is it is a little wider and my tethers use 8mm liros so there would be an awful amount of play. It would take something hideous looking at the top eye to stop the zk1 falling into neutral. Zk2 is by far the better of the 2 IMO :)
