The bend radius is my concern too as a large Maillon is still quite small.

What about a large shackle? I can't think of any other pieces of hardware.

 

Yea that may be the only option at the mo. I can't see anything that would do the same job on any arb equipment sites as yet, but I will keep looking too.

On the larger pin, as you can see in Rich Rule pic their is a ring for attaching a bit of cord or hoop through a crab for safe keeping I guess.

 

Question is dose anyone have it tethered to something while its in the WR so if taking out during a climb for a change over it doesn't accidentally get away from you mid crown? dropped mine the other day fumbling about (found it) but an embarrassing butter fingers moment...

Yeah but you don't have to completely remove the pin to install/ take off. Just remove it on one side and the rope can be rolled into/out I the rw. That way you never drop it. I'm with rich though in preferring the larger pin.
