I earn a lot more money per yearly turnover by doing tree work than my consultancy BUT my profit margins are higher and my overheads are lower from doing it (consultancy).

 

I think my percentage is 40% consultancy and 50% tree work 10% quoting.

Yes that does sound a bit low but it seems wages in the arb industry are low when you work as employed.

 

. Working for myself my earnings are excellent ,as another poster said you have to make your own luck I did just that and it's worked me. I have never looked back. Getting into arb is the best thing that has ever happened to me .

That is mad cheap, non climbing groundie earns more for me, climbers a lot more.

 

I think if I had degree and that was all I could earn I would not be pleased to say the least, no need to be greedy, but people need to eat !
