some very poorly paid groundies down this way...truth is, there are tree firms down here employing people on benefits and paying them £40-50 cash. There is a massive difference between a trained groundperson and a labourer/brush-rat..some people just don't see it!

For a decent groundsperson with saws and tickets and common sense. I pay £120.

 

I'll do it for 100 quid as i've no common sense:001_tt2:

 

I'm amazed at what some of you are willing to pay. Without blowing my own trumpet i've been told i'm one of the best groundies people have ever worked with yet i'm only commanding £80 at day.

With the above you will get more done in the day and stress levels will be lower. You won't always be watching out for them or checking to see if they are working.

 

I've always said the climber is only as good as his groundsman? And the best groundsman learn't their trade felling for peanuts in forestry!
