Alot of the tradesmen in this area are running "lean" lets say, O licenses for 3.5 tonne trucks and trailers are another expense that some wont be able to suffer.

If this is the same for everyone the costs will just have to be passed on to the clients.

some time ago i had a link to a vosa 'consultation'.... it was huge in terms of pages, so much is changing everybody will need to be on there toes, recovery vehicles, forestry vehicles, showman, private trailer etc etc etc, i will try an add a link but to honest it was too big to make much sense of, if only everyone spent as much time talking to people on what they had managed to learn about new rules legislation etc rather than bickering over vosa themselves....... ........................................................

my 6t costs £35 very 12wks ,less than £3 a wk ,for inspections no great shakes ,

glad to see somebody knows it makes sense!!!

on those inspections you will also find out items that have slight wear, items that may need attention at the next 12 weekly inspection etc etc, this can only help the companys that are having 'lean' times!!

Sounds viable.

What about the non-refundable application fees? And the approved operating centre? And the CPC holder? (Standard Licence only) And the proof of financial standing? And spending even less time with the kids because you're dealing with mountains of extra work?

Where do the clients find the money to pay for all this, especially in today's climate?
