Fiskars wood splitting axe Swansea

I see that the head of the X27 weighs 4lbs: I have a Faithfull splitting axe with a 6.25lb head that I love. Is the lighter Fiskars so much better designed/balanced/whatever that it will equal or better mine? Yes, I have been asked what I want for Crimble.

It feels perfect to me, I've used a few different mauls and this one makes them seem like toys. I'm so impressed I've even ordered a matching hatchet :-) another amazon.com buy, x7 14"

OK, Santa's got the order. I have wood at two sites 30 miles apart so if the two axes are even stevens I'll just keep one at each.

Yeah, we're all big kids aren't we - until we've been splitting logs for a while, at which point the age difference between mind and back makes itself felt.

Thanks all,

Jon

You all need to get one of these!

Mine turned up today (4 days from USA to Scottish Island!) I split 2 rings and then let the other half have a go, she then went on to fill the wood shed

This axe makes splitting even easier than I thought it would, I don't even have to pick it up and the sheds full
