I know it's a risk you take, my thinking behind it was it's not that old claims it's been used once, but when I checked it over when I got the bar is worn heavy on one side, chain is blunt and really fine dust in and around the whole saw, the pull cord it's worn and frayed. I've had a lot older saws in better nick

The think that's getting me is another few quid would of got me a brand new 1!

The item is not as described, end of story. Make sure you bring all that to PayPal's attention. :001_smile:

I have bought 2 saws of crap bay and the one I picked up myself was and still is a cracker farm boss 7years ago and still runs sweet £145.

The second saw a Dolmar 118si and it looked mint and it was mint when it arrived But warm it up and no power .£180

2strokes machines are better to go and pickup and try first .

I bought a duff Jonsered off Ebay which Spud kindly picked up for me. Despite being described as only needing a new starter recoil spring, it was seized solid. I started a case, the seller argued that he had described it as spares or repairs but got tripped up by his own misleading description, I got my money back and Spud got a donor saw. If the saw you buy doesn't match the description, send it back and get your refund. :001_smile:

Seen this fault on more than one 357XP now, the owner has taken the handle off at some stage and then put the longer bolts in the lower part of the handle.

The trouble with this is that they contact the underside of th oil tank slowly boring their way in and also cause some very interesting vibration when the saw is not in the cut.

Note the bare metal wear opposite the location bolt - the bolt fitted is the correct length one in the image!
