What's on your bench today?

Just put a new fuel line on my oldest work saw today, a 394XP.

Though this saw looks old and thrashed, it still runs nice and crisp with loads of low end torque.

Looks like it needs a clean! Is the brake handle broke or just the camera perspective?

Did you get her up and running?

For some reason people do seem to be in a habit of installing the gaskets/diapragms in the wrong order on 394's, so if you struggle it may pay to go back in to double check they are installed correctly.

Great saws, ive got a couple and on a full entire rebuild on a 3rd which im taking pics all the way thru etc so will do a thread at some stage in the near future.

I haven't no, only managed to think about doing it as something popped up, but hopefully I'll have a go next week in a evening :001_smile:

I've seen a few running on YouTube, they seem to have loads of torque :001_tongue: can't wait to have her going so I can have a play. Do you run yours on big bars? Say 36"? Does it pull it well?

Just to lower the tone, I am looking for a clutch cover (the plastic panel bit that holds the chain tensioner has given way) for a McCulloch 335 that I want to get shot of at a boot sale or on Gumtree. Has anyone got one kicking about that they can sell me please? :001_smile:

Which bit do you want? The outer cover?
