Inlet side ok

Exhaust not so good but should clean up

I put a cylinder hone in by hand (not on the cordless) just to see if it fitted but might try cleaning first.

Dandikrop from Greece does the Meteor pistons, not sure what brand Mister Solutions (blindstickinsect) does but will give them a ring tomorrow as i'm not sure if i'll get collared for import duty or VAT from Greece.

Regards,

Steve.

I got the easy one. 372XP spares or repair off Fleabay, seller thought low compression so i felt £146 was far enough to go. Couldn't sleep last night so 3:30 am compression test in the kitchen - 80psi. Exhaust off and there is scoring visible on piston but surely it should start on 80psi?

Checked colour of plug

Looks ok to me, till i turned it upside down

Ceramic shroud loose.

New plug and fuel at a more acceptable time of the morning and she's screaming:thumbup::thumbup:

Might treat it to a piston from Dandrikop anyway.

I had my eye on that one lol. Was tempted to pop a bid as got a spare pot and piston from when I put the bb kit on mine. Seeing that tho seems it was a bargain i missed which you benefitted :thumbup1:

Clean up the pot and a new piston and retune and see how it goes.

Last pot I cleaned was similar to that, sprayed some oven cleaner on it left it for a few minutes, went in on it with some fine wet and dry and ended up being fine.

Greece is in the EU so no import duty as it has been paid in an EU country. For the record Leo is a fab ebay trader - got me a 395XP piston in 3 working days and 5 is around normal.

Mister Solutions will be a white box Chinese one - no comparison IMO!

Still going at it hard:001_rolleyes: First one up, MS200T, piston scored so have a new one on order. Looks like carbon damage froma very cruddy exhaust port.

The other MS200 was over reving and had a very fast idle, fortunately the guy using it stopped it PDQ. Pressure/vacuum test showed the impulse line was bad and the seals had a slight leak, replaced all of them and a few other parts - now runs 100%.

The scored piston as below
