Just needs a bit of regular tlc, I don't get the guys who run their kit in to the ground when it makes their living!

Thats how i look at it, but i also had it drilled in to me by my parents when i was younger, particularly when we were on the farm....

If you can turn it on then you can turn it off!

If you can put it down then you can pick it back up!

If you can be bothered to make a mess then you can be bothered to clean it up!

And i’ve kinda stuck to those rules in most scenarios, my tools and various bits of kit always get a wipe down and put away, even if i know i’m going back to it the day after.

This owner wants his saw ported - I think if he cleans his air filter he would get 20% Gains for 5 minutes work.

How is it for fines, tho? I found the non HD filter actually works better for filtering than the HD one on my own 044.

In fairness saws are a disposable item nowadays. Only time you strip them down that far is if something major wrong with them. If so most likely just replace it. Work them hard and when they play up just get new. Cannt afford down time or messing about. Change saws every 2 years or so depending when they start playing up. That said its only been the newer saws that this happens with. Have some older stihls that are still spot on!

Been looking recently to replace a saw but dont like mtronic etc so either buy second hand and clean or new and m tronic. Both options are not great
