What's on your bench today?

A hateful bg55 blower. Wouldnt start after running fine. Had a fiddle today, was completely hydro locked when I looked at it. Cleaned that all out, cleaned carb, seemed ok, meter arm and needle not sticking, found loose engine mount bolt. Refitted. all back together. Ran for few seconds then cut out. Seems to be a lot of fuel knocking about. Throttle cable works but a bit coarse could it be just that sticking on slightly?

Pressure check the carb. The throttle being open or closed will have no effect on the carb leaking fuel through to the cylinder.

Yes I didn't think the throttle could be doing that. Will check it next time I have a minute

Stihl BG86  would not start this afternoon, ran this morning but no joy this afternoon changed plug checked lead and small wires still no spark. So can Module just pack up and is this common.

I have had the blower coils fail, just make sure you try the spark with a big 5mm+ gap, a normal gap and always check the spark in subdued light with a bloody hard pull. If that doesn't work then it is new coil time

Thanks, checked for spark in total darkness tonight not a thing so new coil time then not cheap but no good with out a good one.

Worth trying pulling the kill wire off it then pulling it over again as £70 for a new one is a tad eye watering!

Just thought bit strange been at same place working for 3 days MP3 player died on Tuesday mobile battery died yesterday and coil on blower today.
