Ive just got my "new to me van" on the road after spending all my spare time doing it up and making chip box. the problem is ive had to sell my car so this is my work/riding about vehicle and as i live on a busy main road i have to park the van in a layby outside my house. Good for advertising but not good for all the crooks that keep eyeing it up as they drive past! ive spot welded the steel frame on the tipper and where ive bolted the ally on ive welded the nuts on too! ive got a steering lock on an 1 of those clutch claw things on as a deterent. apart from alarms what else is there i could do to make it harder to nick? ideas????

Is it a disklok you use?

Note the spelling so you get the correct type of lock.

I knew a few scum bag car thieves who reckoned they were among the hardest to remove.

Make sure you keep nothing on show through the window

You can also buy an alarm that will call/text your mobile phone if it is activated. Which IMO is more important than anything ie YOU being alerted to a theft, not relying on the police of a member of the public to inform you.

Google should find you one.:thumbup1:

Move into the front bedroom and have an Airarms s410 ready for action :thumbup1:

I have a heavey duty shackle lock and extra hardened bike chain i thread around the steering wheel and click on the gearstick (thats not goin anywhere), inthe back, if i leave tools in, i chain everything together and cover with a dog guard..........its a pain in the mornings but if it makes the scum think twice its worth it !!

I did hear of a guy who got so fed up with having his car broken in to he put a seat cover on the driving seat............with a board with nails driven in to it protruding from the top underneath........ouch:blushing:

......of course I don't condone this sort of irresponsible behaviour:001_rolleyes:
