all letters are computer generated, so chuck them in the bin.

!

I've never stood for that saying, a computer does nothing until it is programed to do something. In fact i hate that saying so much, that if i'm having problems and they quote that line to me, then all hell breaks loose. As far as i'm concerned its a cop out for human error. :sneaky2::boxing:

I had this trouble with Scottish Gas when I moved into my house.

long story short, record every time you call, who you are talking to, get a reference number and then switch everything OFF!! And stop your direct debit.

I paid an extra grand, changed the meter, got the balliffs at the door, red letters.

They had bumped my DD up to £150 a month and I hadn't noticed.

2 weeks later the right person contacted me and £15 a month covers it.

never saw the grand or the other money though :(

Mrs. rang me in a flap today.

2 weeks ago we had an estimated electricity bill from EON for £155.

I rang them and said I never pay estimated bills, offered them the meter readings and told them to send me an accurate bill. We have had nothing but shite from them since we switched (well, the Mrs. did) from EDF 12 months ago.

Letter from an enforcement agency arrived today saying they would force entry and cut power unless I paid EON the money I owed them on their estimated bill of £3998.

I've never looked forward to going to court more in my life.:sneaky2:

Eleven years on, you’ll be glad if that is the total cost this year.

I have had EON saying that I owe them about £500 for electricity in my old Dads house . This despite the fact that during that period no one lived in it and the last bill was a £1000 refund ! Also the property is sold a year ago . I told them to **************** right off .

bet they still send you a letter threatening to send the bailiffs

Oh yes several letters and phone calls from a dept collecting firm . Its all died down now ( fingers crossed ) but they were very persistent . I explained several times the situation and each time they said they would look into it . The hole thing was over a period of roughly 2 years . They always started with " We are sorry for your loss and realise its difficult time but you owe .......They did not seem to grasp the fact that the property had been empty from before the last refunded bill and the now , in fact , it belonged to someone else !
