Don't you just hate it when you get a call on the mobile and struggle to answer it only to get sales cr*p. I'm so rude they just get the off button- generally you can spot them a mile off- hope I've not done this to too many genuine customers.:001_smile:

I did it once to a potential Asian customer.

Couldnt understand what she was saying so I just blurted out something like,

"WHAT DO YOU WANT! are you trying to sell me a mobile phone or something!!"

"Ermm no, I was after a price for some tree work but I'll call back later":blushing:

She never did for some reason.:confused1:

Bear in mind I was getting constant calls from Asians trying to sell me mobiles, they really do wind you up when your dashing for the phone and its bloody telesales garbage.:cursing:

I hardly answer the phone now unless its a mobile or local number. Unknown numbers can forget it.

Here in the states once you give up the land line expect many such calls. My rule is not to answer Private numbers, caller unknown, or the blank screen call. I can still remember what it was like not to have a mobile phone and my first answering machine, a simpler time to say the least!.

any 0800 or similar number or withheld numbers don't get answered, if it's someone important (bank etc) they will leave a message, or write me a letter.
