If the guy had been killed retrieving the trolley, we would be reading about evil bosses that don't protect their staff.

There are always three sides to every story, their version, his version and the truth.

Also the press seldom give us the whole story.

Hed have been better off phoning tesco or whom evers trolley it was and getting them to move it,must be more to this story than were hearing, because i imagine that an unfare dismissal court would have a field day, whatever it sounds like protocol, gone mad hope he gets his job back then tells em to stick it.

On the surface this story seems simple enough, a person doing his or her job and following rules and regulations. After seemingly avoiding an accident and preventing damage to property and person his reward is to fired?. Maybe there is more to the story then has been reported or maybe this will be the end of the story. In either case this is utter stupidity. Here in the states we have a good samaritan laws that help citizen who are willing to help others in auto accidents until additional help arrives for rescue. I guess the same does not apply for doing the right or correct thing for work.

Really dumb.
