bit of history

this is weaste cemetary in salford (one of the oldest in the district)

 

it opened in 1857 and some of the headstones are amazing

 

it got bombed during WWII and the people at the time helped to sort out the disturbed bodies and re-bury them all

 

you can still see the shrapnel damage in some of the headstones

 

(it got bombed where the grassy bit is, no gravestones)

Those pic's are class you would swear that first pic headstone was edited in photoshop.

 

As steve said you would think with the force it would have just fell to pieces.

No wonder shrapnel kills people
