tell me about it im on nothing compared to the numbers we've discussed, so frustrated its untrue im just waiting to find out about another company if there going to employ me, if not im going to go total freelance and leave them behind, i originally used alot of my own climbing gear, but only my harness now a days

thats also what i think, i do not have as much experiance as most on here but 100-120 is for a mediocar climber surely...... not someone with plenty of experiance, supplying own kit and getting shafted by fuel expences and taxes like everyone else!!

We look to pay contract climbers between £120-150. And I know some guys that charge £160-180. Have once got a guy in that charges £180, he came with his kit to the site. He had 5-6 saws, rigging kit etc and was worth every penny.

 

 

Like Steve says people shouldnt start lowering prices too much because we will all end up having to do it and then we are in a downward spiral. Keep to your prices.

I pay £100 for climbers and there are to be fair lots around for that price. I know we all are looking at prices as a new tax year is on. But i have a lot of people who have contacted me offering that rate, i think as the job we do we are worth more but people are still struggling and keeping costs low.

 

I think that people are still wary with prices and investing as were just waiting to see how deep these cuts hit through to us.
