Is there 2 sorts of models or is that just cheap?

One thing I've just thought - has anyone worked on an adaptation for woodchip hauling because I'm fed up with using wheelbarrows.

I have recently bought one of these.

 

1st outing was on a big garden clearance, loads of trees to come down.

 

Got to say you can drag out a huge amount of logs and branches more than if you were dragging or using a standard wheel barrow.

 

i was a little bit surprised at the weight of it but that only confirms its made of tuff stuff. probaley good if you have heavy handed bods!

 

nearly lost the clip to extend the handle a few times already, must do something to prevent that asap.

 

the only critisim is that you have to stack it with a little thought or you end up with this huge pile that you drag happily along untill you get to a tight gap (ie gate etc) then you cant get it through.

 

Otherwise i got to say its a fantastic bit of kit.

it definately makes a groundies life a lot better!

Has anyone used it going up or down steps....?? Loads of my work seems to involve going either up or down steps...so at the moment I'm going through a sack truck atleast 2-3 times a year....then that's what living in a town built at the end of five valleys means....cant go anywhere without bumping into a hill!!

Tow it behind chipper. I think the max peed rating is 180 mph.

He's put two bolts vertically into the top of the tipper tailboard. The bolts protrude up by a couple of inches and the Trolley slides onto the bolts.

He's drilled two holes through the trolley sides, where the white bars slide in.

The trolley holes slide down onto the bolts and the trolley with handle attached is hanging off the back if the truck, not using up space.

 

Don't forget this is an American truck, steel chip box and excellent payload.

No good for any of our Euro shopping trucks!

I am looking for something to carry logs, tools and material round my 6 acre woodland. The paths are relatively narrow and in places steep. The Stein Arbor Trolley looks like a possible (quite expensive) solution. But will it dismantle small enough to fit into a hatchback (Skoda Octavia)?

we mount ours on the top of the engine canopy of the chipper it is quite heavy so it helps keep the weight down on the van
