I HATE with a passion ALL those puerile harry potter films. I walked outof the secon one half way through.

Kung Pow though- an awful film but very very funny- a great parody of kung fu movies....

For recent films, the Bourne trilogy are great. I could have walked out of Inception within ten minutes if I had had the car key! Not my cup of tea.

 

Love westerns, especially John Wayne - True Grit, Rooster Cogburn, Rio Bravo, El Dorado, The Searchers. And the British black and white war movies - who can resist watching Ice Cold In Alex just to spot the Land Rover Series 1 at the end?

 

Top five I could watch over and over again:-

The Getaway (Steve McQueen)

Thats 8 out of my top 5! Don't you find it's one of those lists that just keepd growing?

 

And for TV what about Michael Bentines Potty Time? Classic. At the other end of the scale The Wire is excellent as well.

I dont think it was anyones cup ot tea, it was a new film, and a new way of making films, very bold and unique, possibly changing cinema forever in the same was as T2, Jurasik park, The Matrix, and avatatar all did. Story wise it was odd, but as film making goes its a work of art and that is what cinema is all about.
