Dead Man's Shoes is a quality piece of work - much of it filmed around Matlock where I spent a lot of time backpacking as a young lad.

Old favourites include The Shining, Razorback and The Omen trilogy.

I'd also love to see a film called The Experiencer again - shown on Channel 4 in the middle of the night years and years ago- weirdest film I ever saw. Guy at a specialist film website knew of it, but couldn't find any published details at all.

As title says would like to find some good films from like minded people not the Internet critics:) never really been a one to watch films always ended up talking too much but me and the wife dusted off the old DVDs and find point break is our favorite along with goodfellas, casino and scarface but is there any

new films out of the same calibre? Don't say pirate films are your favorite because they are cheap as I don't condone that haha;)

Have you got Point Break on DVD?? Its quite a rare one, available on amazon but not for 2-3£ like most films of that age.

Anyway, you made me look for it on amazon again, and guess what folks? Its being released on Blu ray at last!!!!! June 2011 yee haa! Have been wanting it on Blu ray for ages.

Favourite more moderner films then........

Gladiator, the Bourne Films, Blood Diamond? I really liked Death Proof but not to everybodies taste I'm sure.

If you are ok with subtitles then Black Book is harrowing but very well made, and then there is a great french thriller called "Tell no one" which is brilliant but possibly the best foreign film of recent times have to be the Girl with the dragon tattoo trilogy, which are being remade in english but I somehow doubt they will be as good.

Best recent film: Inception?
