Efco MT3500 in my opinion - I brought one in April last year to replace a MS171, and really can't fault it for the price. Much better than the Stihl, and oils like a champ.

 

Only downside is air filter is a bit of a pain to access, but that's the only bad thing I have to say about it.

i have a efco lawnmower, it's great as well.

as for makita, i have a long reach, with pruner, strimmer, hedge trimmer that's fully adjustable, £500, i wouldn't call cheap and it's top draw, never fails to start and build is A1,i don't understand why people have a downer on em.

i wish Kawasaki did chainsaws because their trimmers are great, i have one as well.
