Probably.

+P 45 ACP isn't very hot.

Given that a regular .45 Acp travels at the speed of a .177 Air Rifle pellet fired from a BSA Meteor.

Yeah, but the mass of that 45 might sting a bit more than a .177 from a BSA meteor.

I was always told pistols of that vintage could be stopped by a decent blanket at distance, always thought it was an old soldiers tall tale.

No that's a wives tale about the blanket.

Same as that chainsaw trousers stop .22 LR. It takes trousers folded x5 to stop a .22

Always thought as much, shot many a steel target at 50-200m to know that even subsonic it's still got a bit of poke.

Granted 45 ACP is more a slow moving house brick compared to a 22 in whatever flavour.

Following the advice given earlier in the thread, I ordered this as a Christmas present for my dad and picked it up at midday today. Unfortunately the lunch guests we had didn't leave until it was turning dark so I've only managed 5 minutes of plinking, and I'm flying off again tomorrow so I won't get to play with it properly until I'm back in late January. Ah well.

Quick question, the instructions say don't store it with a CO2 cartridge in it to protect the seals. How short-term are we talking about here? Can I leave the barely-used one in it until Christmas Day, can the same one be left in until late January? Is it even anything worth worrying about, are the seals a 5 second job to replace?

How many shots from a single cartridge, are they considered a single-session expendable thing?

Cheers for any knowledge dudes.

I’d say take off for storage. I’ve had a couple of crossman toys over the years for the kids and from memory 40-50 decent shots was the norm. For what the canisters cost I’d not even consider leaving it hooked up, I’d not be suprised if they leaked out to zero anyway over time.
