Just a quick message to let you all know that the New BS3998:2010 is out and can be bought for a small fee of £86 from the British Standards Institution or from Tree Source.

 

This new BS3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations supersedes the old BS3998:1989.

Ok so I've looked everywhere I can think of looking and can't find a source for the BS39982010. I resent paying so much for it when I'll only need to read it twice. Surely it should be free for the people who actually want to use it?!

After all, the scum, I mean travellers, have no clue as to it's existence and can't read anyway.

I'm a three man, one truck business so 86 English pounds is quite a lot.

Anyone found it elsewhere?

Well i aint paying for it, if they want work done to those standards it should be free to tree professionals.

I did lol not worth £86 and isnt it half price till feb lol.

 

Although its handy to have so if you want it you pay for it. If you wanna offer customers the lastest in standards then you really need to know what they are i guess or dont advertise work to bs3998 standards.

THEY have not informed me there is an update, so all i can do is carry on as i am.
