Transit tipper full of unsplit timber????

I have someone who wants to buy a transit load of unsplit timber off me, all my stuff is decent hardwood, im just unsure of how much to charge him? any ideas on price would be much welcome!

my rate is £50 for ton and half ish (cash)

maybe try for a bit more if you have had to take it back to your yard then reload it

If he wants it delivered, and its already in your yard, then 20 quid less than split wood. Delivery is the main cost not the wood. I do mates rates for mates who come and collect it, otherwise I am doing them a favour.

 

On the other hand if its fresh and on the truck anyway from a days tree work and their house is nearer than my yard, 20-30 quid.

Same as rupe but would rather not sell it seaoned like that more money to be made in the day selling it off as logs

Hes just someone whos working in our village in north devon and driving back to derbyshire on friday!! seems a long way to drive back with a load of timber on to be honest but hey ho!

£20 - £30 sounds fair. I often have tree surgeons drop by with a transit trying to get £70 for a pile of twigs. Even a good heaped load on a transit without to much air will turn into a level load when cut up. £40 a tonne delivered in nice straight cord wood Knotty twisted arb arisings
