It could do with a cage to catch them, and maybe a plate to hold the next log to be split. I love it, and the pickup in the back ground. I doubt its as easy to make stuff like that in england, not as many parts shops for all the fittings and steel you would need.

It's not very quick, full stop. Or should that be "period".

 

Too much time spent having to release the air valves etcetera, let alone picking up the logs.

 

Less likelihood of lost or mangled fingers / hands admittedly though!

And this one has been painted up, to look a little less deadly!:thumbup:

(Personally i wouldn't mind one of these at all. You could extend that guard frame the whole way round and just have a little hatch at the base of the table to say enable loading of 10'' max. size rounds.)
