yeh we had that today, really didn't expect it. i brushed past it with a bit of brash and a cloud about 10ft3 engulfed me!

 

 

Not 100% certain, but as all parts of Taxus contain poisonous alkaloids known as taxanes, (apart from the berry flesh) I'd be cautious inhaling any pollen from Yews.

 

 

It is a pretty interesting thing to watch when it happens though.

They certainly spread their progeny far & wide.

i have to admit i scarpered like a little girl when it happened. it didn't look like the kind of thing my lungs would enjoy :001_smile:

Couple from the planting again we finished today took couple pics this knarly beech tree i had seen in distance but didnt look up close at it till today completely hollow inside the butress roots on the other side of the tree really cool tree

 

One for the VTA thread perhaps?
