Cant believe this. Words are beyond me.

Louise has just passed an interesting comment though, that these checks/stops ALWAYS get done in office hours around here when the type they are pulling over is straight forward folk trying to earn a living.

But, wouldnt it be interesting if they pulled over the weekend warriors doing odd jobs, gardening, tree guvvies with a 6 x 4 trailer behind their saloon car to earn extra "cash" and taking waste to the council tip. Bet not many of them have waste carriers.

They can fine you if you have a wcl because that is one of the stipulations of having one :001_smile:

Good point!!!

Buy getting a WCL, you are agreeing to play the game.

Surely if it been chipped then the "waste" has already been recycled. Isn't there grants for recycling? They should be paying us!!

Fines for not recording where your newly aquired product has come from is crazy!!

We got pulled over by some police a litle while back. They wanted to check if we had the correct reg docs and to check to see if the truck was overloaded. Sadly it was but only by 25 kilos. As we removed the weight (logs) the policeman asked if he could have them and he was more than happy to put them in the back of his X5 patrol car. We didn't get a fine that time but months down the line we were pulled over again as drivers had been complaining that we were blinding them with our lights. We went onto the weigh bridge and sure enough we were overweight. Only by 50 kg or so and we got a £150 fine for being overweight. We are now very careful how we load the vehicles especially if we are loading logs or rubble.
