I was going to get the Stein jacket but have read that after a few good outings in the wet they start to let the water in!

Allthough expensive the Proclimber jacjet seems to get good reveiws.

Not had the Stein very long but it was the first hi-viz that I saw that could be ok for climbing and keeping the site agent quiet! (commercial clients and H&S issues blah blah etc). Time will tell :001_huh:

military surplus goretex - its 100% waterproof and its cheap!. If you look around you get the Royal Navy stuff, which is better than the Army gear and has the advantage that passing traffic can see you before you get run over...I paid £18 for the trousers and £28 for the top and I've been bone dry since...and never rained off. :thumbup1:

Our cutandclimb jacket is a favourite with climbers and groundsmen alike. The tough, durable Exeat fabric keeps the wearer dry all day long, even in heavy persistent rain and the breathable liner helps wick moisture away from the body. If you want more info, please get in touch :)

N.B. model not supplied with jacket!!

Personally i dont bother with waterproofs. Nothing is 100% apart from oilskins and then u get wet from sweat. I just wear under armour tops which even when wet keep me warm!! In the Army waterproofs were for girls and its kinda stuck lol

I manage a large tree plantation in southwest scotland and we are outside 365 days a

year. We all use waterproof jackets and trousers from Denmark called Bontex, they are the only truly waterproof clothing ive come across. Good value and heavy duty. Full set is about 50 quid. Cant remember the website,il get it from work and post it though... Worth a look.

i have just bought a set of helly hansen 100% waterprofs for when you are not working t hard t build up a sweat and they are great wore them whilst hedgecutting the otherday and was complete.y dry when i finished also the hood is large enough to wear over a helmet. for when working i have either a craghoppers jacket which is now starting to lose its waterproof ness after going through the wash or just a t shirt as i find i end up to hot in a waterproof sometimes
