Looks great & strong

i particularly like the doubled up roof joists & the simple way you've notched the top of the roundwood poles.

What species of wood did you use for the roundwood posts & cladding?

As a guess I'll say, hmmm.... oak for the roundwood poles & Larch for the cladding. Am i right?? or

cheers, steve

Cheers, I hope it will outlast me!

The posts are old electricity poles. Started out with 4 poles at about 9m long, and cut them in half (well just over/under) to make 8 posts.

All the other timber is Larch from the local sawmill - apart from 6 rogue lengths of Douglas Fir! The cladding is 2nd grade boards, 6" wide, 1" gap.

The size was mainly determined by the materials - the 8 poles, 16ft lengths of timber, 2ft wide roof sheets, and the need to get the dumper with roll bar in.

My sister in law went out with a Dutchy.

He taught her a greeting to say to his sister when they met.

She laughed for ages.

Turned out he taught her to say "Hello , my name is Sue , I have small tits and a fat arse".
